No final message from ISP to PTL yet

The Inspectorate for Strategic Products, ISP, which is working on the permit review of our first settler's planned investment in Torsboda, has now given PTL conditions they must meet in order to obtain a permit. PTL has taken note of the terms and conditions and will now in turn respond to the Authority.

- There are several companies that applied for permission from the ISP that received conditions for a yes, so that in itself was not unexpected, says Christian Söderberg, CEO of Torsboda Industrial Park. It is good that the permit process is done thoroughly and PTL has expressed that they are working to be able to meet the requirements, I see this as positive. We look forward to the final announcement.

The agreement with PTL is now closed — work on new establishments continues

Torsboda Industrial Park and PTL have concluded the agreement signed by the parties in 2023 for the transfer of land for an industrial establishment. Torsboda Industrial Park is thus continuing to work with other stakeholders but at the same time has the window open for an anode factory in some form.

Dialogue on possible ways forward after appeal

PTL announced on Tuesday 7 January that it is appealing against the authority ISP's decision not to allow PTL's investment in Torsboda. Pending the government's review, Torsboda Industrial Park is entering into dialogues with PTL on how the continued work can look in the future.

Municipalities remain determined to contribute to the green transition and more jobs

Yesterday it was announced that the company PTL, which wants to establish an anode factory in Torsboda, has not received permission for its investment from the agency Inspectorate for Strategic Products, ISP. Today, the municipalities of Timrå, Sundsvall and Härnösand held a joint press meeting together with Torsboda Industrial Park.
