PTL has today informed us that the Swedish Agency for Strategic Products, ISP, does not approve PTL's investment in Torsboda as the company is not considered to meet the conditions set by the Authority for a yes vote. We are reviewing the situation and continuing to work on our mission.
The Inspectorate for Strategic Products, ISP, which is working on the permit review of our first settler's planned investment in Torsboda, has now given PTL conditions they must meet in order to obtain a permit. PTL has taken note of the terms and conditions and will now in turn respond to the Authority.
PTL invites public and business owners to meetings
Together with Sundsvall and Timrå municipalities, Torsboda Industrial Park has presented two land areas as possible for Kaunas Metals' establishment of their first steel plant outside Lithuania. The areas that now compete with Umeå are located next to Delta Terminal in Söråker and at E14 in Töva.
During Wednesday, the Government's Industry Coordinator Kristina Alvendal visited us and we talked about our venture in Torsboda and raised important issues. Together with her colleagues at the start-up Acceleration Office, she is working to identify knots that slow down green transition and to propose measures to dissolve them.
