The Västernorrland Museum takes stock of the buildings closest to the area where the industrial park in Torsboda is being developed. The result will be a book describing how the villages Brännan and Gryttjom look today and how the area has changed historically.
Employees at Västernorrlandsmuseum, Johanna Ulfsdotter, antiquarian and cultural environment developer, and Sanna Berglund, building antiquarian, are working on the assignment.
- We visit Gryttjom and Brännan at the end of September to photograph. We want to document the buildings and surroundings in contemporary times and describe its history because a major change is taking place in the immediate vicinity of the villages,” explains Sanna Berglund.
- We also hope to receive stories about the houses and farms from people who live or have lived there, says Johanna Ulfsdotter. We will also find out more about how those living in the surrounding area experience the change that the development of the industrial park entails.
Concerned property owners in Gryttjom and Brännan have received a letter from Västernorrland Museum in the mailbox about the documentation. The assignment comes from Torsboda Industrial Park.
