STIP (Collaboration Torsboda Industrial Park) is a collaboration project between Härnösand, Timrå, Sundsvall and Region Västernorrland. The project is the joint effort of the municipalities to prepare the community for a large establishment in Torsboda, with the aim of creating at least two thousand new jobs.

A scenario involving thousands of potential immigrants will require major preparation and efforts in terms of urban planning, such as housing, services, communications, infrastructure and the environment.

The big stumbling block was the joint collaboration meeting at Södra Berget in October last year, when 300 employees from the municipalities gathered to start the work.

STIP also aims to package, market and disseminate knowledge about the site to surrounding communities and stakeholders.
